Intellectual Property - Patent General

Patent Paralegal The candidate will be answering phones. Drafting and filing formal patent documents or administrative responses (missing parts, entity status change, issue fee payments, etc.) through EFS and ePCT. Corresponding with foreign counsels and foreign patent offices. Docketing (Pattsy). Sending out task reminders/appointments/meetings (Microsoft Outlook). Following up with attorneys. Inputting official fees and time entries and generating invoices (QuickBooks). Running accounting reports. Otherwise assisting in other administrative tasks to ensure a smooth office workflow.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have a B.A./B.S. degree or similar. Experience handling administrative actions in patent applications. At least 1 year of intellectual property law office experience in a similar position. Familiarity entering time/bills and invoicing in QuickBooks (or similar program). Must understand patent deadlines, be highly computer savvy (experience with telecommuting would be a plus), energetic, easy-going, and flexible. Must pay attention to detail, able to multi-task, can handle a variety of attorney personalities and adjust the style of work accordingly, and generally requires little supervision. This position is 100% telecommute. Must provide one's own computer and a stable internet connection.
