A law firm in Manassas, VA, is seeking a Family Law Associate Attorney with 2-5 years of experience to join their team. The ideal candidate will handle a variety of family law cases, conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and representing clients in court proceedings.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on family law matters.
• Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Prepare for and attend court hearings, trials, mediations, and other legal proceedings.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and provide legal advice.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in cases.
• Assist with document management, organization, and administrative tasks as required.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the Virginia State Bar.
• 2-5 years of experience practicing family law.
• Strong legal research and writing skills, with proficiency in Westlaw.
• Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide strategic advice.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
