Associate Contracts Manager Responsibilities: Draft and negotiate technology development master agreements, statements of work, and other contracts on an as needed basis, including amendments and addenda for specific projects, products, and services. Advise the business on legal, operational, and commercial issues that arise in the course of contractual negotiations and relationships, and escalate appropriately where required. Identify key risks/gaps in underlying contracts and recommend changes to mitigate risk. Support the continuous improvement of contract templates and processes impacting legal team and the businesses support.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree. 3+ years of contracts management, paralegal, or other comparable experience within a law firm or legal department. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage many simultaneous workstreams, clients, and projects under tight deadlines. Strong written and oral communication skills as this position involves direct contact with principal business owners. PREFERRED: In-house legal experience or law degree/ JD Degree is a plus. 3+ years of experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating the legal terms of a broad range of standard commercial contracts, including inbound licensing agreements. Ability to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams. Strong analytical and computer skills. Sound and practical business judgment as well as common sense, and a good sense of humor.
