Compliance Manager, International Compliance The candidate will be responsible for assisting the Sr. Compliance Manager with developing, supporting and maintaining compliance strategy throughout firmâ€™s international subsidiaries. Will be responsible for supporting the Director of Corporate Compliance in the execution against the broader Compliance Management System goals and initiatives. Assisting with the development, direction, and execution of firmâ€™s international compliance strategy. Working on the further implementation and maintenance of all components of an effective Compliance Management System.. Supporting firmâ€™s compliance programs by working closely with the various functions responsible for Compliance, Risk, and Legal across firmâ€™s international subsidiaries. Supporting and confirming legal and regulatory requirements are operationalized effectively (i.e. GDPR rules). Ensuring proper implementation of firmâ€™s global compliance policies and training. Supporting international risk assessments processes, including anti-corruption risk assessments. Providing guidance and thought leadership around compliance monitoring, testing, complaint management, and compliance issue identification and resolution within firmâ€™s international subsidiaries. Working with compliance colleagues and management to establish an appropriate compliance culture throughout the international organizations including the development of global training programs. Conducting pre-due diligence reviews in order to identify, if any, compliance concerns prior to acquisitions. Preparing reporting and other information for the Chief Compliance Officer, senior management, and the companyâ€™s board of directors. Carrying out other Compliance services as appropriate.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have Bachelorâ€™s degree. JD degree is preferred. Fluency in English and Spanish is essential. Must have relevant business experienceâ€”especially in International Complianceâ€”developing or supporting the enhancement of a Compliance Management System (3-5 or more years of experience). Must have excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills, advocay or other persuasive abilities Experience with international data privacy rules and anti-corruption (e.g. FCPA, UK Bribery Act) is a plus. Strong PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Excel skill is required. PMP and/or Six Sigma certification is a plus. Experience with the financial services regulatory environment and/or regulatory examination management is essential. Project Management/ Six Sigma is preferred. Understanding or exposure to risk or crisis management is preferred. Must have strong skills in partnering with cross-site Compliance business/functions and in coordinating cross-functional team projects.
