Transactional Real Estate Paralegal
The candidate will assist in all aspects of closing commercial real estate transactions including, but not limited to: identification and resolution of due diligence matters, title and survey review, new plat and easement review for commercial developments, obtaining title insurance, entity formation, drafting loan documents, drafting closing documents, foreclosures, workouts, and working closely with all parties to ensure a smooth and successful transaction. Must have a paralegal certificate and at least 4 - 5 years of experience in a law firm setting. Should have ability to effectively communicate and work cooperatively with a diverse group of attorneys, staff, clients, coworkers, and vendors in person, by e-mail and telephone; proactively demonstrates effective teamwork and provides assistance to others as time permits; analytic ability to apply knowledge to practical applications and to foresee possible problems and identify effective solutions. Maintains a willingness to meet the requirements of the position, accepting a wide variety of assignments as called upon; demonstrates reliability and willingness to work in a complex environment. Knowledge and understanding of legal principles and practices at a level normally acquired through formal training or its equivalent. Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints with strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent word processing and proofreading skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook required. Ability to produce a variety of documents from various source materials.
