Senior Contracts Manager
Responsibilities: Responsible for contract creation, execution, and analysis to maximize operational and financial performance as an organization, supporting delivering business goals all while reducing financial and business risk. Focusing on driving efficiency, standardization, compliance, and risk management in relation to the specific contracts and contracts portfolio. Operate cross-functionally to coordinate business requirements, eliminate gaps in awareness of Microsoft’s strategy, and provide visibility to the appropriate stakeholders across of several hundred complex contracts with strategy in mind. Drafting, support negotiations, development, redline and versioning control of a segment of Server and/or Commodity Hardware Agreements including change management, administrative detail and pre-legal reviews. Coordinating and facilitating Sourcing, business, Microsoft Legal Team, New Product Introduction (NPI), cloud server infrastructure , Logistics and other stakeholder reviews and approval and is responsible for the final packaging and handoff of document sets to CSCP Cloud Controls and Procurement Execution for signature. Draft and manage review and approval of executive Deal Summaries and related documentation needed for contract approvals and execution of contracts. Drive lifecycle activities for recurring contracts including warranty extension and other services that span fiscal cutoff, including early review of related costs with finance for budget targeting, preparation of forecasts and Deal Summary for timely presentation, approval and execution of rollover PO’s. Acting as the initial contact for templates and existing supplier contracts, content and relevance to new projects and will provide initial recommendation to Sourcing and Microsoft Legal Team for drafting of new SOW’s and amendments. Ensuring the primary objectives remain efficiency, acceleration, accuracy and risk mitigation, as well as preparedness and process evolution to meet demand-to-dock and hyper-scale growth. Partnering with Sourcing and Microsoft Legal Team in contracts audit, gap-analysis and template development-revision to ensure nimbleness and speed as the team introduces new themes in procurement, deployment, warranty and as new suppliers are on-boarded to the community of suppliers supporting Microsoft Server and Hardware technologies. Leverage contracts management disciplines and lifecycle tools to proactively manage the Server and Commodity contract portfolio and to illuminate and provide actionable insights into critical terms, dates, risk and optimization opportunities. . Meeting both on-time and accurate contract and purchase order SLAs for your programs and accountabilities. Develop and maintain trusting stakeholder relationships across Operations, Business and Engineering stakeholders.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, or relevant work experience. 7+ years’ experience in contracts management, procurement, sourcing or a related role.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience as a Contracts Manager, Procurement, Attorney, Paralegal, or other similar role. Understanding of Server Hardware, Cloud Infrastructure, Network, Decommissioning, and Logistics. Experience managing large contract portfolios with a history of improvement and success stories. Ability to develop clear presentations to executive audience. Direct experience working with multiple business partners.
