Criminal Justice Research Associate Terms: Part-time, at least 16 hours per week, one or two academic semesters Responsibilities: Researching, drafting, and editing documents regarding criminal justice issues and policy for both internal and external use, such as funding proposals, issue briefs, research summaries, and annual reports. Contributing to research projects, developing data metrics, and managing research transparency requirements. Drafting and editing communications materials, such as presentations, project descriptions, and website updates. Identifying and evaluating grant opportunities and managing grants. Assisting the Criminal Justice team with administrative support.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Currently enrolled in a graduate program in criminal justice, sociology, psychology, public policy, law, or a related field, with a PhD program preferred. Previous work experience in fields such as criminal justice, public policy, or law. Positive, professional, team-oriented, and mission-driven attitude. Passion for criminal justice reform. Excellent oral and written communication skills, including demonstrated experience in research, writing, and editing. Familiarity with criminal justice research, data analysis, and policy papers. Organized, diligent, proactive, and attentive to detail. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Mastery of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and other standard computer software.
