TEMP/Part-Time: Job # PH41819: Our Client, a well-respected Chester County law firm, has an immediate need for a 5-10 year experienced litigation attorney to assist it in employment law cases, for approximately 20 - 25 hours a week for about 5 months but possibly longer. Work would be on-site at its offices, and, in various courts as indicated below in this posting. Cases in litigation (pre-trial through trial) and arbitration (arbs mostly in DE County). Clientele is mostly small to medium-sized corporations. NOTE: the client is ABSOLUTELY NOT interested in seeing resumes from 1st chair litigators. Requirements: The ideal candidate MUST be licensed to practice in PA. Having a current active license in NJ would be a DEFINITE PLUS. You must have employment law experience (FMLA, ADA, etc.) in both Federal and State court. In this position you would be working in the client's Chester County office, and traveling to court in Philadelphia as well as to courts in New Jersey. Must have good communication skills, with both attorneys at the firm and clients. Tasks: You would be involved with: research, preparation of or responding to the full panoply of litigation and pre-trial tasks and pleadings ( e.g., Complaints, admissions, requests for production of documents, interrogatories, requests for motions in limine, pretrial memos, motions to compel (or responses thereto), as well as with employment and confidentiality agreements. You must have a working familiarity regarding Pennsylvania and federal substantive employment law (e.g. ADA, ADEA, PHRAct, FMLA, Title VII, etc.) How to Apply: This is an IMMEDIATE need.
