Litigation Legal Assistant The candidate will manage both pre-litigation and litigation cases. Will provide support to many teams and departments across the Firm. Assist during short term or long term absences, and provide support as needed for special projects. Manage the day-to-day critical tasks on cases, support clients, and work alongside attorneys to seek the best results for clients. Responsibilities will include: regular client communication; organization and analysis of medical records, accident reports, and other relevant documents; utilization of the case management program; and collaboration with internal departments. Also provide coverage when needed in the Intake department. Manage and negotiate liens, including liens associated with ERISA, Medicare, Medicaid, and workers compensation. Maintain an attorney's calendar including scheduling depositions, hearings, and trials. Must have 3+ years of experience in personal injury law as a litigation legal assistant or paralegal. Knowledge of legal terminology and principles as well as good computer skills are required. Experience with a case management program is a requirement. Experience drafting answers to discovery including Interrogatories, Requests for Production of Documents, and Requests for Admission of Fact is needed.
