Duties:

  • Advise clients on employment-related matters, including hiring, terminations, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, trade secrets, managing employees, leaves of absence, and wage and hour law.
  • Draft and review employment-related documents such as employee handbooks, nondisclosure agreements, arbitration agreements, and separation agreements.
  • Represent clients in litigation matters, including wrongful termination, class and representative actions, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour disputes, and breach of contract cases.
  • Conduct legal and factual/investigative research to support client matters.
  • Independently identify legal issues, anticipate necessary next steps, and recommend appropriate actions.
  • Maintain and manage client relationships with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Stay updated on relevant employment law developments and changes.

Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of employment law experience, including litigation and advice and counsel work.
  • Prior experience in a private firm with a proven track record of handling client matters with appropriate supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify legal issues and propose practical solutions independently.
  • Strong academic credentials with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Superior legal research and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality work with a strong work ethic and a desire for professional growth.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a proactive approach to learning and development.
  • Current member in good standing of the State Bar of California.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admitted to the State Bar of California.
