Administrative Assistant/Rejections Duties: Downloading references cited in Rejections from the Patent Office website and linking them into OPTMS. Printing Rejections for clients who require paper copies. Obtaining and linking references that need to be filed with new applications either from foreign websites or by linking them from CDs into OPTMS. Reviewing CDs received from clients containing new application documents and linking them into OPTMS. Also to back-up the soft docketing function for Rejections and process Rejections for reporting to the client.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: Must be consistently accurate and demonstrate an ability to work quickly and without error. Must be able to review and follow comprehensive special client instructions. Willingness to be flexible by performing responsibilities not specifically identified in the job description and assuming new responsibilities as the firm’s needs change. Must be able to work independently in an electronic environment including manipulation of documents, running reports, uploading and downloading documents from electronic sources including the Patent Office website and the firm’s document management system. Must have excellent attention to detail, type approximately 35 wpm and have keen organizational skills.
