ProfileParalegal, Market Regulation Enforcement The candidate will provide paralegal and administrative support including, maintaining the Enforcement docket (CBOE/C2), preparing and maintaining records and hearing materials, drafting correspondence, developing and generating various reports, summarizing transcripts and preparing settlement documents. Will work independently on many projects, they will also perform work at the direction of attorneys and other staff members. Reviews, organizes, and tracks files, documents, and cases. Categorizes, maintains, and stores legal records and information. Maintains hardcopy document and electronic files. Work with legal staff to migrate hardcopy records to electronic formats. Researches legal and regulatory sources to locate articles, codes, decisions, and regulations. Offer assistance to other FINRA departments needing information searches through various legal websites/databases. Drafts correspondence and legal documents, such as summaries, motions, records, exhibits, briefs, and complaints for the review, approval, and use by legal staff. Assists with investigating facts and preparation of interview materials and exhibits in connection with on the record interviews. Proofreads, edits, formats and finalizes legal documents. Assembles, organizes, duplicates, and disseminates legal materials. Uses litigation software to assist with preparing and presenting electronic exhibits at hearings. Receives and responds to inquiries from internal and external constituents regarding cases. Supports the attorneys when they experience hardware and software issues. Work on special projects and/or assignments as needed.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have Bachelor’s degree and paralegal certificate, or the equivalent. Must have 1+ year of legal office experience. Must have familiarity using a desktop computer with the full suite of electronic office product applications and electronic legal libraries. Strong writing and editing skills is required.
