Senior Counsel - Licensing The candidate will provide guidance and knowledge on matters pertaining to licensing out agreements. Draft, negotiate and managing IP licenses. Work with stakeholders, including those in product integrity, finance, risk management, royalty accounting, manufacturing, and operations, some of whom may have conflicting interests. Should have 10+ years of experience as an IP transactional attorney at a top law firm and either a studio or corporate environment with a sophisticated transactional practice. Must have a demonstrated track record structuring, drafting, negotiating, and managing IP licenses and a broad range of other IP-based transactions, as well as familiarity with how content and other IP can be exploited across a range of media and platforms. Should have a law degree, with strong academic performance at a highly-rated law school. Must have good standing with at least one state bar and, if not licensed to practice in California, then a commitment to register to practice in California pursuant to California’s in-house counsel registration requirements. Must have demonstrated lawyering and management skills, and substantial licensing and other IP-transactional expertise.
