Paralegal Duties: Assist with the coordination of deal closings; client meetings and other functions; preparation of closing memoranda and closing documents. Perform basic factual and precedential research using the library and computerized search services. Assist at the financial printer with preparation of regulatory agency filings; coordinate revisions, proofread changes and organize “master document”. Proofread memoranda and legal documents; draft routine correspondence and minor legal documents. Assist with the organization and implementation of document distributions. Organize, monitor and maintain files. Perform other administrative support tasks, such as photocopying, faxing, document-scanning, word processing, database entry, etc. as required. Prepare closing sets/binders/bound volumes. Answer telephone, assisting caller when appropriate. Prepare and release diaries; complete and submit weekly timesheets. Perform such other responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree. Fluency in Portuguese. Willing to Relocate to Sao Paulo, Brazil. Excellent organizational skills. Excellent communication skills (oral and written). Knowledge of applications, including, but not limited to, MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel. Able to carefully and accurately follow instructions and prioritize. Able to accept new tasks and learn from experience. Able to handle sensitive information and exhibit good judgment. Able to work as a team player and independently. Able to analyze and solve problems. Strong research skills and attention to detail.
