Corporate Counsel
Duties: Draft and negotiate a wide range of commercial and technology agreements, including strategic business agreements, platform agreements, reseller agreements, technology license agreements, hosting agreements, service agreements, SaaS agreements, and consulting services agreements; Identify risks and advise cross-functional stakeholders on developing legal areas (including ability to conduct legal trainings as necessary); and Work collaboratively with business and legal leaders to identify legal priorities and implement legal operations’ strategies for commercial and technology agreements.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: A JD Degree from an accredited law school. 3-5 years of commercial/technology law experience required, in-house experience preferred. Must be licensed and in good standing to practice law in California (ability to register as in-house counsel acceptable if licensed to practice outside of California). Demonstrated knowledge and experience in drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements. Demonstrated knowledge and experience with programmatic advertising, technology transactions, technology licensing, content hosting, podcasting and commercial law matters. Experience with technology company preferred. Desire and ability to work on a wide variety of matters, including those outside of subject-matter expertise. Strong decision-making ability and solutions-oriented approach. Ability to maintain strong working relationships with internal clients. Strong analytical skills and good judgment. Ability to problem solve and demonstrate strong business acumen. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Ability to deliver accurate and effective legal documents. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must have legal right to work in the U.S. Word processing and document management capabilities, including Microsoft Office, document comparison applications, document management systems and communication and collaboration applications. Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
