Job Overview: A well-established law firm is seeking a 3rd to 5th year Associate to join its Labor & Employment practice in the Sacramento office. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse clients across multiple industries, providing strategic legal counsel in employment-related matters. Location:

Duties:

  • Represent employers in employment-related disputes, including class and individual litigation, unfair competition, and employment discrimination.
  • Advise clients on issues such as sexual harassment, retaliation, leaves of absence, employee accommodations, personnel policies, wage and hour compliance, and employment agreements.
  • Handle employment-related legal matters related to compliance with state and federal laws.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and discovery.
  • Participate in trial preparation, strategy discussions, and hearings.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and provide legal advice on labor and employment practices.
  • Take ownership of cases and provide exceptional client service.

Requirements:

  • 3rd to 5th year of legal experience in labor and employment law.
  • Strong litigation experience, with wage and hour law knowledge a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex matters simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and writing skills.
  • Ability to take ownership of work and manage responsibilities independently.
  • Must be a member of the California State Bar.

Education:

  • . from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Must be a licensed attorney in good standing with the California State Bar.

Skills:

  • Strong research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in drafting legal documents and correspondence.
