Duties

  • Collaborate with inventors, researchers, and attorneys to evaluate new technologies and inventions.
  • Assess patentability, draft patent applications, and prepare responses to USPTO actions.
  • Manage and maintain patent portfolios for clients in diverse technological fields.
  • Stay current with trends in technology and intellectual property law to provide strategic guidance.
  • Support clients in areas such as 5G, Wi-Fi, AI, processor systems, image processing, and wireless communication technologies.
  • Communicate technical information effectively to clients and legal teams.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of patent prosecution experience.
  • Registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) or eligible for registration.
  • Strong technical expertise in electrical engineering and related fields.
  • Experience with 5G, wireless technologies, AI, processor and memory systems, and RF front-end technologies.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical matters clearly.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field (equivalent experience may be considered).

Certifications

  • USPTO registration or eligibility for registration is required.

Skills

  • Proven ability to manage client relationships and develop patent portfolios.
  • Experience in technical areas such as autonomous vehicles, robotics, AI, or computer vision is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Skilled in drafting and prosecuting patent applications.
