Compliance Officer – Analyzing Laws and Regulations The candidate analyzes health care laws and regulations and serves as a subject matter expert and key resource to Ministry leaders and Compliance, Audit and Risk Management colleagues on federal and state regulatory compliance matters. Is adept at understanding the questions and issues raised and at identifying the compliance implications. Works collaboratively on often complex regulatory compliance matters. Provides guidance in compliance areas, such as Fraud and Abuse, the Stark Law, the Anti-Kickback Statute, Conflicts of Interest, HIPAA, MACRA and Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement. JD degree or Master in Public Health. Experience in health care regulatory compliance is preferred. Certification in health care compliance is preferred. Ability to distill and articulate complex concepts clearly so that communication is understood at a variety of levels are needed. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse medical community is needed. Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to analyze and effectively present data is essential.
