Attorney The candidate will be primarily responsible for reviewing, negotiating and drafting legal documents related to the business of the Company, researching legal issues and contracts, and providing legal and risk avoidance advice on legal issues from internal departments, sales groups, and various Management Teams. Will be responsible for counseling human resources, sales, purchasing and other management groups. Also assist in supporting defense of litigation claims, including coordination of discovery and assisting outside legal counsel and Global Litigation counsel. Provide advice to management on various legal issues impacting the Company and will perform a full range of standard business and corporate work for the professional field and work with various technical and business disciplines in a team setting.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate must have 2 - 5 years of legal experience (external law firm, and /or in-house). Should have Juris Doctor from an ABA accredited school. Must be admitted to practice law in South Carolina and/or any U.S. State. Must have experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts, dealership/distributor agreements and purchasing agreements. Must have litigation experience in one or more of the following areas: product liability, contract disputes, construction and/or employment claims. Experience in Corporate M & A transaction and due diligence a plus. Cross-border experience a plus. Ability to work with standard office suite tools (Microsoft) is required.
