IP Litigation Paralegal The candidate will coordinate, preparation and filing of briefs and legal documents in federal courts (district court and Federal Circuit) and PTAB. Obtain information and materials from IP vendors and government agencies, such as the US Patent & Trademark Office. Manage document production processes - hard copy, electronic, etc. Conduct substantive Research. Interact with outside entities (clients, government agencies, expert witnesses, consultants, other law firms, opposing parties, court personnel, etc.). Manage litigation support systems and Cite Checking. Manage preparation for witnesses and depositions. Manage resources, including support staff. Should have Intellectual Property litigation experience, including managing large patent cases. Must have experience managing and supporting discovery, which primarily involves assisting attorneys with preparing to take and defend depositions, as well as responding to written discovery (interrogatories, requests for admission, document requests), and collecting and producing documents. Experience in handling PTAB filings and related discovery is a plus. Possess 5+ years of IP Litigation Paralegal experience. Travel will likely be infrequent, and overtime may be required. Excellent analytical and organizational abilities, solid communication and management skills, strong computer abilities, creativity and initiative. Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. ABA approved Paralegal Certificate. Must have a high-level experience with a range of litigation support applications. Experience with electronic filing systems is required, and experience with USPTO systems (such as PAIR and Assignments on the Web) and Docket Navigator are a plus.
