Legal Assistant Duties: Work under the supervision of attorneys practicing in workersâ€™ compensation to prepare legal documents and routine correspondence, schedule hearings, prepare hearing exhibits, review and summarize medical records, speak to clients, and many other tasks in workersâ€™ compensation litigation.
Qualification and Experience
Candidate must have 2+ yearsâ€™ experience in workersâ€™ compensation litigation, demonstrable writing and organizational skills, and mastery of common Microsoft Office programs. Should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, advanced skills with office word processing software, familiarity with medical records and medical terminology, attention to detail and organization, and ability to multi-task. Knowledge of workersâ€™ compensation law and procedure is an advantage, but will train an exceptional applicant.
