We are currently seeking a motivated and highly organized Associate Attorney to join our team in Tempe, AZ. Responsibilities:
- Communicate effectively and appropriately with team members and outside parties
- Draft, review, and file legal pleadings, motions, and discovery in active litigation files
- Review litigation case files and pleadings to determine appropriate action
- Advocate on behalf of client's interests at various litigation settings
- Utilize internal proprietary software to update and document account status
- Analyze and process litigation inventory reports and files to ensure proper workflow
- Comply with client and firm standard operating procedures
- Ability to travel to various courtrooms within the branch office footprint as required
Requirements:
- Admission to practice law in the state of Arizona
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly motivated self-starter
- Eagerness to learn
- Ability to manage and prioritize a large caseload
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of one year of litigation/trial experience
- Working knowledge of civil procedure
- Debt collection experience
- Prior experience in a high-volume environment
Physical Qualifications:
- Able to lift five pounds or greater
- Able to sit for 90% of the work day at times
- Able to bend at the waist and be mobile when needed
- Able to read and comprehend position-specific documents and correspondence
- Able to communicate effectively in a common language
- Able to travel occasionally when needed
- Able to operate a computer, phone, or equivalent device
- Able to work a flexible 40-hour schedule
