Litigation Support Specialist Responsibilities: Participate in litigation support technology strategy, implementation, and operations, including all hardware and software systems related to case document databases, ESI processing, indexing and OCR. Determine technology needs of litigators, evaluate possible solutions, and apply technology to meet the needs of litigation. In consultation with other members of our Client Advisory Technology Services department, design, develop, and implement a variety of technological solutions to litigation issues; e.g. design, organize, and maintain databases to respond to the needs of attorneys. Manage databases. Directly develop data quality control, query and/or report design and ongoing maintenance of databases directly or indirectly related to document images. Manipulate data, develop queries and report on existing databases. Responsible for the integrity of imported data for all databases. Provide direct training, troubleshooting, problem-solving and technical support on all litigation support systems. Maintain accurate records of job intake, requirements, media and productions. May perform basic LAN administration and user support duties in conjunction with other IT staff. Perform other special projects as requested.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements: Bachelorâ€™s degree preferred. Paralegal experience or certification preferred. 3+ years' litigation support experience, training or education. Experience with a wide variety of technology subjects, including SQL, Access, and MS Office. Prior experience in a law firm environment preferred. Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills. Project management and task prioritization skills required. Strong knowledge of database fundamentals including query and report writing preferred. Ability to work additional/irregular hours to meet client demands. Experience with LAW eDiscovery, CaseLogistix, CaseNotebook, Relativity, CT Summation, Equivio systems preferred. Strong knowledge of text transcript management software such as LiveNote, Textmap and Summation. Knowledge of: legal principles and terminology; EDRM; methods and requirements of legal discovery and legal research; principles and practices of document collection; imaging, coding, electronic storage, and retrieval; current word processing, spreadsheet, database, multimedia presentation; functions and operations of personal computers and peripherals and troubleshooting.
