Location:

Duties:

• Manage a caseload of medical malpractice, construction accident, and general negligence cases.
• Take depositions from defendants and witnesses.
• Resolve cases through negotiation or trial, including conducting mediations and arbitrations.
• Participate in trial work (training provided for those without trial experience).
• Collaborate with a paralegal dedicated solely to the attorney's caseload.
• Coordinate with calendar clerks to schedule depositions, mediations, and court appearances.
• Attend and participate in hearings and trials as required.

Requirements:

• Experience in personal injury law.
• Strong trial experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
• Ability to manage cases efficiently from start to finish.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and deposition skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in New York State and in good standing.
