Associate General Counsel, Product
Responsibilities: Build, manage, and mentor a team of attorneys and legal professionals. Lead consensus building across legal and coordinate legal advice across complex and multifaceted legal issues such as data protection and privacy, competition, consumer protection, security, and other global legal frameworks. Review global products, features, platforms, and initiatives to provide practical legal risk mitigation strategies for products across multiple jurisdictions at once. Coordinate with public policy, communications, product management, engineering, product marketing, and other cross-functional teams on external communications, legal policy development, and product development and launches.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar. 8+ years of experience as a practicing attorney at a law firm and/or in-house. Experience with one of the following or related legal areas: Product or regulatory counseling, consumer protection, privacy, competition, data security, or intellectual property law. Preferred Qualifications: Experience building and managing a team. Experience building and scaling legal processes and operations. Experience working on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, delivering practical advice under pressure, and operating within ambiguity. Experience taking on projects involving different subject matters and areas of law, developing expertise quickly, and working cross-functionally.
