A law firm seeks an experienced and highly skilled Trusts & Estates Attorney to lead its newly established Trusts & Estates Practice Group. This role provides an exciting opportunity to work on sophisticated estate and tax planning matters while contributing to a collaborative and professional legal environment. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of trust administration, tax law, and business succession planning, with a strong commitment to providing exceptional legal services.
Duties
Develop and implement comprehensive estate and tax planning strategies for high-net-worth individuals and multi-generational families.
Draft complex estate planning documents, including wills, powers of attorney, and a variety of trusts (GST Trusts, GRATs, SLATs, and charitable trusts).
Provide guidance on income, estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer (GST) tax laws.
Oversee complex trust and probate administration matters.
Advise clients on business succession planning and charitable giving strategies.
Conduct legal research and analyze intricate state and federal tax laws.
Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders to provide strategic legal counsel.
Requirements
Juris Doctor (.) degree from an American Bar Association-accredited law school.
Active New York law license in good standing.
Proven track record with a portable book of business of at least $400,000.
Education
