The candidate will assist the General Counsel with contract review, business advice, advice as to human resource issues, regulatory compliance, IT compliance, and Board of Directors recording notes and preparing meeting minutes. Will review blogs, remain abreast with legal changes, court opinions, and pass on to interested parties, Execs. Prepare, consult, advise regarding cyber incident response, PII exposure, prep demand to broker; confer regarding investigation, draft demand to loan officer, prepare cyber insurance inquiry, and confer with outside vendor(s) on notice to regulators. Confer, revise as well as draft amendments and suggestions to General and Forbearance Agreements. Confer/advise Reverse regarding outside counsel and attorney opinion that family trust satisfies investor requirements. Manage applications and work product that go to investor, for due diligence. Conference with Human Resources on various employee issues, leave and conduct issues. Assist with corporate governance and Board of Directors related compliance. Draft, review and revise contracts of all types. Support the business owners on a variety of legal matters. Should have a J.D. degree. Must have 5+ years of experience as in-house counsel. Solid understanding of loan origination and mortgage industry standards is required. Prior experience as a legal advisor for Board of Directors and Senior Management is needed.
