Counsel - Consumer Products Duties: Reviewing and advising on new and existing consumer products and services. Providing day-to-day support for the product development teams. Reviewing of new product offerings and changes to existing consumer products, including mobile apps and service platforms. Developing positive relationships with internal partners and external stakeholders. Coordinating internally and externally among different client organizations, subject matter experts, legal and other groups in addressing product-related issues, including educating and training employees. Coordinating with business, legal, external affairs, and other groups to ensure effective advocacy of product strategies. Ensuring compliance with existing policies, federal and state laws, and regulations and assisting in the formulation of solutions to any identified problem areas exposing the company to risk. Drafting and reviewing product terms of service, trial agreements, license agreements, FAQs, technical requirements, customer care, and training scripts as well as product marketing collateral and advertising copy. Advising on customer and partner contract issues. Assessing legislative or regulatory developments with actual or potential impact on key product initiatives and strategies.
Qualification and Experience
Required Qualifications: J.D. Degree. Bar Membership in good standing and needed Licenses. 6+ years of relevant attorney work experience. Knowledge and substantive experience handling banking and consumer financial products and services, including knowledge of applicable federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to banking including KYC, UDAAP, and BSA/AML. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrated good judgment, and a proven track record of advising clients in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Preferred Qualifications: Excellent academic record. Experience working in an in-house Legal department supporting financial products. Demonstrated ability to work with a wide range of business clients, including senior leaders.
