Director of Legal The candidate will provide duties include: Review, draft and negotiate complex inbound and outbound commercial agreements. Collaborate with business and technology teams to provide guidance on business and legal risks. Provide strategic and tactical legal advice in connection with the drafting, negotiation, and review of a wide variety of contracts and strategic agreements, including licensing agreements, business partner agreements, and service agreements.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate must have JD from an accredited law school, excellent academic credentials, and admission to CA or other state bar. Must have 4+ years of top-tier law firm and/or in-house experience, with a focus on commercial contracts (experienced technology IP/patent litigators from top-tier law firms who want to make the jump to commercial in-house work will be considered). Must have prior legal experience working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment handling a wide array of complex technology agreements. Must have strong problem solving, drafting, and communication skills. Must have substantive transaction experience in drafting and negotiating complex contract and/or licensing agreements and working with two-tier sales partners. Must have excellent business judgment plus an ability to think strategically, make timely decisions, and give practical, solution-oriented and business-oriented advice.
