General Attorney - Tax The candidate will provide full range of legal services on all domestic and international tax issues. Will prepare answers to petitions, replies, motions, and other documents relevant to the case. Research, analyze facts, and write legal opinions in response to questions. Provide legal advice and recommendations to IRS agents. Should have a J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school. Must have 3+ years of professional legal experience after receiving a J.D., of which 2+ years is in tax law (1 year must be comparable to the GS-13 level) OR have a Tax LL.M. and 2 years of professional tax legal experience (1 year must be comparable to the GS-13 level). Should have 1 year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes complex litigation involving large multinational corporations, transfer pricing, antitrust, intellectual property, securities, and tax. Must be admitted to practice law before the highest court of a state or territory of the US; the District of Columbia; or the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. Application Deadline: August 13, 2018.
