Global Immigration Paralegal Responsibilities: Obtain business visas, work authorizations and residence permits for international (expatriate) personnel. Facilitate and manage the relationships with an extensive network of attorneys located world-wide who provide country specific immigration assistance to US and Foreign Companies. Accountable for handling comprehensive, high volume of immigration case work by preparing, collecting data, and assembling various expat/visa applications. Liaise with human resources personnel, executives, immigration counsel, government entities and others, to manage a wide range of global visa cases from start to finish. Assist with the firm’s US immigration cases as needed (e.g., H-1B, PERM, I-140, I-485, etc.).

Qualification and Experience

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent is required. Must have existing network of trusted and verified global partners and attorneys. Must have 1-5 years of recent experience in a global immigration environment, and be extremely detail oriented. Knowledge of global immigration laws, especially hands-on experience administering EMEA, APAC, and Canadian business visas, work permits and residence permits. Knowledge or experience in US immigration. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office Products such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, as well as other common business tools and applications including Adobe Acrobat, document scanning, INSZoom and WinZip. Ability to perform fast, thorough, and detailed case filings. Knowledge of corporate formalities (precise use of corporate names, importance of corporate structures). Ability to communicate clearly and unambiguously with all contacts, including foreign nationals. Ability to manage dozens of immigration cases at once, on an ongoing basis, in an extremely fast-paced environment with very tight deadlines.
