The ideal candidate will have experience in patent litigation, particularly in the life sciences sector, and a strong understanding of both federal district court and IPR proceedings.
Duties:
- Manage all stages of intellectual property litigation, including pre-trial, trial, and post-trial proceedings.
- Draft pleadings, manage discovery, and resolve disputes.
- Craft and argue motions, including claim construction.
- Assist in trials and appeals, ensuring effective case management throughout.
- Collaborate with internal teams to strategize and achieve client objectives.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in intellectual property litigation (5-8 years preferred).
- Experience in pharmaceutical patent litigation under the Hatch-Waxman Act and/or medical device, and chemical patents.
- Proven experience managing complex cases and discovery processes.
- Familiarity with both Federal district court proceedings and IPR matters.
- State Bar admission is required.
Education:
- A degree in a life sciences discipline, such as biology, chemistry, or chemical engineering, is preferred.
Certifications:
- Active membership in a State Bar.
