Location:

  • El Paso, TX

Duties:

  • Defend clients in civil litigation matters, including personal injury, medical malpractice, and employment disputes
  • Draft discovery, pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
  • Take depositions and argue motions in court
  • Manage a caseload of active cases, ensuring deadlines are met
  • Prepare cases for trial and participate in trial proceedings
  • Collaborate with colleagues and senior attorneys to develop case strategies
  • Provide regular updates and communicate effectively with clients
  • Utilize time management skills to balance work with deadlines and client expectations

Requirements:

  • JD from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Member in good standing with the Texas and/or New Mexico State Bar
  • 2 to 8 years of civil litigation experience (preferred), ideally in personal injury, medical malpractice, insurance bad faith, or labor and employment law
  • Experience drafting legal documents such as discovery, pleadings, and motions
  • Experience taking depositions and arguing motions in court
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and take cases to trial
  • Self-motivated with strong time management skills

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

  • TX or NM Bar License (Required)
