Paralegal/Legal Assistant Duties: Substantial interaction with attorneys, other legal assistants/paralegals, administrative staff, the courts and most importantly, valued clients. Will work under the supervision of attorneys and senior paralegals and will support various business segments.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree and a Paralegal Certificate or appropriate combination of related job experience and education. 2+ years of law firm experience in Trust Administration and Probate. Additional experience should include: Estate planning, Elder law, Medicaid and VA benefits, family law, real estate law, business law, and general civil litigation. Must be familiar with the King, Pierce and Snohomish county local court rules. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, be highly organized, and able to manage a number of cases under time constraints. Requires that the Paralegal be flexible and have a demonstrated ability to work independently as well as within a team. Must have well-honed computer skills and ability to work with Microsoft Office products and billing and time keeping software such as Time Matters. The firm also uses the following software: WealthDocs®, BusinessDocx®, ElderDocs® any proficiency in these software products is highly desirable. Must be able to learn and be efficient with new software programs.
