Legal Assistant/Office Manager Responsibilities: Provide overall support to attorney’s business and legal needs. Conduct research to support legal proceedings. Assist with the drafting and reviewing of legal documents. Investigate facts to help in the negotiation of legal disputes. Monitor and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Record and store client information. Communicate accurately and timely with clients regarding accounting information and cases statuses. Maintain deadlines imposed by cases, courts, statues, clients, and the demands of the business. Set hearings in Orange, Osceola, Volusia, and Seminole counties. Utilize the Florida eFiling system to file documents with the court. Take sole responsibility to supervise and maintain a high-volume calendar for a full caseload. Scan, index, and circulate all incoming and outgoing documents as appropriate for each unique scenario. Input time entries and communicate with clients regarding invoices and payment. Receive and process all vendor invoices. Greet clients, schedule consultations, and fulfill the intake process for new clients. Monitor and manage cases from inception to completion with regard to both court and client facing responsibilities as well as the best practice for the business. Answer phones, take messages, and monitor reminders. Intake mail and document circulation.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Associates degree, Bachelors is a plus. Ability to prioritize and multitask. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Deadline and detail-oriented. Goal driven and amenable to feedback. Dedicated, self-motivated, and professional. Extraordinary organizational standards. Exceptional communication skills, internal and client facing. Bilingual is a plus.
