Associate Attorney The candidate will draft and review foreclosure-related pleadings, in addition to attending foreclosure settlement conferences for the firm. Will utilize legal knowledge and experience as necessary to facilitate the process on the behalf of clients. Prepare and review foreclosure-related motions such as summons and complaints, orders of reference, motions for summary judgment and judgments of foreclosure and sale. Attend hearing and mediation appearances. Prepare analysis of cases and advise clients regarding legal strategies. Draft court pleadings, status letters, denial letters and written requests. Collaborate with supervising foreclosure attorney, business unit and per diem appearance counsel. Provide legal directives for clients on the behalf of the firm. Directly manage escalated cases including the management of client systems. Coordinate bank rep and client appearances. Be willing to travel on an as-needed basis. Should have a Bachelor's degree with a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school. Must have 3-5 years of foreclosure experience. Should be a member of the New York Bar while maintaining all necessary licensing and continuing legal education requirements. Must be proficient in software tools, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and the Internet.
