Duties:

• Manage and oversee commercial real estate transactions, including acquisition, disposition, and leasing activities.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial real estate contracts and agreements.
• Provide legal counsel on real estate development projects, zoning issues, and land use matters.
• Advise clients on real estate financing, including lending transactions and related documentation.
• Conduct due diligence and manage the closing process for real estate transactions.
• Collaborate with clients, real estate brokers, and other stakeholders to achieve client objectives.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal real estate laws and regulations.
• Assist with the preparation and review of real estate-related litigation documents as needed.
• Stay current with changes in real estate law and industry trends.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience in commercial real estate law within a law firm setting.
• Transactional experience in commercial real estate law, real estate transactions, leasing, lending, development, and zoning preferred.
• Valid law license in Missouri, Illinois, and/or Ohio required.
• Superior communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active law license in Missouri, Illinois, and/or Ohio.

Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of commercial real estate law and practices.
• Proven experience in negotiating and drafting complex real estate agreements.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with a high degree of professionalism.
• Proficiency in legal research and analysis.
