Job Overview: A law firm seeks a seasoned Litigation Of Counsel to join its Short Hills, NJ team. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in product liability and complex commercial litigation, with a preference for those who have practiced at an AmLaw 100 firm. This role involves supervising associates, managing case strategy, and interacting with clients and experts.
Job Duties:
- Communicate verbally and in writing with clients, attorneys, and third parties.
- Supervise and mentor associates on litigation matters.
- Collaborate with experts and assist in the development of cases.
- Review and draft discovery responses, briefs, motions, and memoranda.
- Help develop and execute case strategy in collaboration with partners.
- Manage and conduct depositions as needed.
Requirements:
- JD degree from a nationally recognized law school.
- Admitted to practice law in New York; additional admission to New Jersey State Bar preferred.
- 8+ years of experience, preferably at an AmLaw 100 firm.
- Strong background in product liability and complex commercial litigation.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical and medical device industry is advantageous.
- Excellent analytical and writing skills with a solid attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound business judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including persuasive communication.
- Effective management skills with the ability to supervise and mentor junior associates.
Education and Certifications:
- JD degree required.
- Strong academic credentials from a nationally recognized law school.
- Additional degrees such as MD, MPH, PharmD, or Epidemiology are beneficial.
Skills:

- Proficient in legal research tools and databases.
