Salary Information:

Minimum Salary: USD $108,.
Maximum Salary: USD $191,.
Typical Starting Salary: $128,000 - $140,000

Experience Information:

A minimum of six years of successful experience as an attorney

Job Description:

As a Senior Insurance Defense Trial Attorney at Liberty Mutual, you will represent our company and policyholders in complex personal and commercial lines civil litigation matters. This includes cases involving auto accidents, premises liability, products liability, governmental liability, construction defect, and subrogation. You will manage the entire legal process, from investigation and discovery to trial preparation and court proceedings. In addition, you will negotiate settlements and develop appropriate legal strategies for all stages of litigation. You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior attorneys and collaborate with colleagues who are remotely located.

Qualifications:

Membership in the MN Bar
Appropriate special licenses to practice before boards or federal courts preferred
A JD degree
Talent for cultivating strong working relationships
Detail-oriented and analytical thinking skills
Persuasive oral and written communication skills
General knowledge of insurance law
Familiarity with the latest developments in the practice of law
Proficiency with technologies that facilitate remote work
