West Linn estate planning and elder law firm is seeking a full-time administrative / legal assistant with significant experience in both office administration and legal assistant work. Duties will include: Answering incoming phone calls; Scanning and organizing all documents, both incoming and outgoing (we are a paperless office); Organizing and managing day-to-day office activities; Greeting and situating clients; Scheduling appointments; Basic technical troubleshooting; Drafting correspondence to clients, courts, and governmental entities; Providing substantive legal assistant support in the areas of estate planning, probate, trust administration, and guardianship/conservatorship proceedings. The position requires competence in a range of software applications including Microsoft Word & Excel, Adobe Pro, and Google Apps. Experience with legal practice management software is plus. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic; an upbeat personality and a friendly demeanor; a willingness to take initiative; superior communication skills; and a proven ability to work as part of a team. Because the position involves substantive legal work, experience in the areas of estate planning and elder law is strongly preferred.
