Senior Corporate Paralegal The candidate will assist with Corporate governance work: draft consents, resolutions and other corporate documents; coordinate appointment and removal of all corporate officers and directors. Will process markup of documents from legal department staff; draft and review non-sales standard forms of contracts (NDAs, consulting, trade show, hotel, etc.); maintain contract files, including following up on executed versions of contracts and notifying business unit representatives of impending important contract dates. Support Corporate functions: organize, prioritize, and review requests for legal support and coordinate efforts to create efficient processes for response to queries from various departments (Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, etc.). Serve as the legal department’s coordinator for project requests from our internal clientele around the globe. Assist with product liability and auto claims and coordinate the same with third party adjuster. Assist with copying, drafting letters, typing, sending UPS packages, etc. Provide litigation support by coordinating document production, corresponding with insurers regarding pending claims and facilitating the execution of affidavits and subpoenas.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have BA from an accredited college or university, a paralegal certificate from an ABA accredited school (or any equivalent combination of related experience, training, and/or education), 4+ years of experience as a paralegal which should preferably be in-house for a corporation or a corporate law firm. Must have ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Must have ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Must have skill in MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and the Internet. Should have strong computer software background and be comfortable gaining proficiency quickly as the department utilizes various third party software applications.
