Short Hills office of our client seeks venture technology associate with 3-5 years of legal experience. The candidate will be working collaboratively with partners on public and private securities offerings and SEC compliance. Counseling investors and emerging companies in day-to-day affairs and acting as quarterback on overall legal needs. Representing high growth businesses in connection with financings, merges and aquisitions and general corporate matters. Representing the interests of venture firms and other sources of capital in transactions. Helping to build relationships with clients and the broader ecosystem. Must have public securities and/or capital markets experience (in life sciences and technology), including representation of companies, investors and underwriters in public securities transactions and corporate governance and SEC reporting and compliance experience. Experience with competitive firms in the tech sector is preferred. Experience with East and West coast style deals is a plus. Should be licensed to practice law in either the State of New York or the State of New Jersey, and be in good standing.
