Post-Graduate Law Fellows Fellow will: Conduct telephonic and in-person screening and intakes of potential clients seeking legal assistance. Provide referrals, as appropriate. Coordinate follow-up with clients, prepare intake memoranda. Do outreach in communities, at social service providers, and with organizers. Represent clients in administrative and/or criminal court hearings. Draft letters; informally negotiate to resolve legal issues. Collaborate with supervisor and staff to place some cases with volunteer attorneys; provide training and support to volunteer attorneys. Draft legal memoranda, declarations, and other documents as needed for impact litigation. Update and maintain intake/client database. Attend community and coalition meetings to forward policy work and represent.
