Counsel The candidate will be responsible for: providing technical assistance to legislators at the federal, state, and local level; analyzing legislation, legal opinions, and criminal court records; performing research on Second Amendment and other firearm-related jurisprudence and gun laws around the country; contributing to research reports and drafting other public-facing materials; and working cooperatively with and supporting teams engaged in Political, Research, Outreach, Communications, Cultural, and Digital projects. Will review the organization's output for accuracy, including reports, speeches, op-eds, emails, and social media posts. Should have J.D. degree and membership in a State Bar. Must have 2+ years of relevant professional experience. Willingness to travel on occasion, possibly on short notice, is required. Strong commitment to reducing and preventing gun violence is needed.
