A law firm in Charleston, SC, is seeking a licensed South Carolina attorney for an Insurance Defense Attorney position. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of litigation experience, particularly in insurance defense matters. This role involves representing clients in various insurance defense cases and providing effective legal counsel and representation.

Duties:

• Represent clients in insurance defense litigation, including property, casualty, and liability claims.
• Draft and file legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Conduct legal research and prepare detailed legal memoranda and reports.
• Participate in case strategy meetings and contribute to the development of litigation strategies.
• Attend court hearings, depositions, and trials as required.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the litigation process.
• Manage case files and ensure all deadlines and procedural requirements are met.
• Provide legal advice and counsel on insurance defense matters and risk management.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in South Carolina.
• 1-3 years of litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities efficiently.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the South Carolina Bar.

Skills:
