Responsibilities: Assist with basic preparation and/or proofing of transactional documents including creating signature pages, updating footers, inserting dates and creating PDFs. Prepare synopsis of parties and description of funding for a real estate transaction. Follow-up on recorded documents and title policies with title companies, ACRIS and handle distribution of original documents to various custodians. Assist with preparation of closing indexes and CD binders. Ensure post -closing obligations are met, i.e. distributing notices of sale. Create and maintain electronic files in firm document management system. Assist Real Estate Paralegals with various projects as assigned. These duties may be ongoing or ad hoc in nature. Other duties as may be assigned to fully meet the billable requirements of the position.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Bachelorâ€™s Degree. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PDF creation tool(s) is highly desirable. Must be able to work in a team environment. Professional demeanor, strong attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills are essential. Excellent client service, ability to work overtime and travel as needed.
