Job Duties:

  • Manage a high-volume caseload and oversee all stages of personal injury cases from inception through resolution.
  • Conduct thorough investigations to establish liability and assess damages.
  • Draft and file key legal documents, including discovery, motions, and responses to opposing filings.
  • Negotiate settlements effectively with insurance companies and opposing counsel.
  • Serve as lead counsel in civil jury trials, demonstrating strong courtroom presence and strategy.
  • Maintain consistent and transparent communication with clients regarding case progress.
  • Advocate for clients' best interests while upholding ethical standards and legal integrity.

Job Requirements:

  • Licensed attorney in good standing to practice law in Illinois.
  • Minimum of 7+ years of personal injury experience with a proven focus on trial litigation.
  • At least 10 civil jury trials were taken to verdict as lead counsel.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of state-specific personal injury laws, legal procedures, and regulations.
  • Strong research and analytical abilities to interpret and apply legal precedents and statutes.
  • Exceptional communication skills for drafting, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple cases and meet strict deadlines.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work closely with paralegals, support staff, and other attorneys.
  • Fluency in Spanish (preferred but not required).

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Illinois State Bar.

Certifications:

  • Active and in good standing with the Illinois State Bar.
