Requirements: JD Degree or LL.M from an accredited law school. Current Bar membership in good standing to practice law in any of the United States. 1-3 years of immigration legal experience particularly in humanitarian immigration claims such as asylum, Special Immigrant Juvenile Status, U visas and T visas. An understanding of the private law firm and corporate pro bono culture. Demonstrated sensitivity to and knowledge of issues involved in working with diverse communities. Detail oriented and able to meet deadlines. Organized, able to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask. Ability to communicate effectively and clearly to diverse audiences. Strong writing and editing skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse multidisciplinary team. Professional demeanor, strong work ethics, able to maintain confidentiality and a positive work environment. Proven problem-solving skills with ability to analyze situations, identify existing or potential problems, and recommend solutions. Second language fluency required (preference given to Spanish and Amharic speakers). Proficient in Microsoft Office with the interest and ability to learn other software programs.
