Client Manager, MLF The candidate will serve as Mid-size Law Client Manager. Will be responsible for increasing Westlaw revenue, usage and market share in assigned law firm accounts by utilizing skills related to legal research, training, sales and marketing. Leverage expert consultative approach and opportunity analysis to meet customer needs. Effectively meet customer needs and build productive customer relationships; take responsibility for customer satisfaction and loyalty; is focused on the big picture and business perspective when making decisions and taking action. Build credibility by working as a strong team player and through powerful formal presentations. Use appropriate interpersonal styles to establish effective relationships with customers and internal partners; interact with others in a way that promotes openness and trust and gives them confidence in one's intentions. May interact with account executives, Sales Exectuives / sales management, and/or products experts. Demonstrate strong negotiation skills by effectively exploring alternatives and positions to reach outcomes that gain the support and acceptance of all parties. Exhibit a deep knowledge of products such as Westlaw including content add-ons, the legal profession and the legal publishing industry; relish ongoing, self-initiated learning, assimilates new information quickly, welcome feedback and apply knowledge to practical use on the job. Attain assigned revenue and sales account goals. Establish solid, long-term customer relationships and cultivate new business opportunities by diagnosing needs, presenting solutions and addressing customer concerns. Provide high quality account management and customer support services to assigned accounts. Travel throughout territory to provide face-to-face meetings and services. Develop, present and implement special offers in non-Account Executive accounts. Partner closely with Account Executives in identifying the sales opportunity for each firm. Support renewal process in assigned accounts. Educate customers on the benefits of Westlaw over competitors and train customers on the use of Westlaw. Coordinate training efforts with Customer Success Representatives. Coordinate local marketing efforts within assigned accounts. Keep up to date on competitive activities in accounts and communicate information to divisional/regional management. Assist other market segments as needed. Identify opportunities to leverage technology products aimed at increasing revenue and providing solutions. J.D. degree is required. Legal practice experience is preferred. Strong communication, presentation and Westlaw legal research skills needed. Customer service orientation and experience essential. Field Account Management and sales/ marketing experience strongly preferred. Prior legal research training preferred.
