Staff Attorney The candidate will be responsible for defending all lawsuits filed against the University of Oklahoma, administration of all litigation hold notices for the University of Oklahoma and performs additional duties as assigned by the General Counsel. Experience with both the Oklahoma Governmental Tort Claims Act and employment law defense is preferred. Requires a Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school. Should have 7-10 years of experience. Should have experience in all aspects of complex civil litigation practice, impeccable legal research and writing skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Must have an active Oklahoma bar license (and be in good standing) and be admitted to practice law in the United States District Courts for the Western and Northern Districts of Oklahoma or able to be admitted in each within 30 days and will be expected to promote the ethical and professional practice of law while interacting with client representatives, litigants, members of the bar and members of the judiciary and their staff. Must have ability to speak, read and write clear, concise English. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office. Should have License in good standing to practice law in Oklahoma.
